Weddings
The most important question about getting married is not where the wedding takes place, but whether it is growing towards a lasting, healthy and, for many, a Christian marriage. But once you have decided that you would like to get married at St Peter's, the first step is to arrange an initial meeting to establish whether you are legally entitled to get married here and go through all of the initial details. Marriage in the Church of England is governed by Law and you will need
to check the legal requirements before planning your wedding. The best
place to start is http://www.yourchurchwedding.org (In some cases dealing with legal formalities can take many months, so start planning early.)
Funerals
Bereavement is often something which stuns us, leaves us emotionally wrung out and sometimes angry. We try to help in different ways. When somebody close to you dies there are a lot of things to think about and organise. We can help make arrangements for a Church of England funeral service at St Peter's or in a crematorium or cemetery chapel that reflects the person you knew and allows you to say a final goodbye.
